My ‘Sophro Pause’ approach is about gaining wellbeing. It is a combination of Sophrology and taking time to stop and take a break. A pause in everyday life so that you can check what is happening in your mind and body, and improve your wellbeing.
What is Sophrology?
Sophrology is about creating a relaxed body and an alert mind. It helps you to reduce the chattering mind. It allows the body to get to a quiet place by releasing tensions in the mind and body. The wellbeing tools are dynamic easy movement postures, breathing and visualisations techniques.
Sophrology benefits include:
- Improved concentration levels
- Greater confidence
- Lower stress levels
- Reduced anxiety
- Managing emotions more easily
- Increased energy levels
- Managing pain more easily
- Improved quality of sleep
Who can do Sophrology?
Anyone! It doesn’t matter what age you are or if you have any physical/mental disabilities. It can be done anywhere as well – at work, at school, at home or at university. It can be practised at the gym in between classes or during resting periods between exercises. It is very easy to do and can be adapted to any situation– like at the bus stop or on the train. You can take one element or practice several elements at a time, whenever it is convenient for you. You choose.
